It’s been said that Nantucket is home to some of the best restaurants in the world! If your planning a destination trip to Nantucket for Daffodil Weekend April 29th – May 1st, Nantucket Visitor Services tells us that 36 restaurants will be open including take out restaurants and those with limited seating. Here’s our picks for the 7 places to Dine DAFFY Weekend.
Lunch, Dinner and Sunday Brunch are served for Daffy Weekend. Start with cocktails at the bar or a cozy spot. A continental Breakfast is served daily from 7:30-10am and Sunday Brunch is from 11-2. Lunch is served Friday + Saturday from 11:30-2. Dinner is served Thursday – Sunday from 5:30-9 and you’ll find the best in Seafood and contemporary dishes.
2. Lola 41
This is Nantucket’s Sushi + Bistro Restaurant. Nantucket Magazine calls it “The Hottest Spot In Town” and The Boston Globe says “Best Burger on The Planet”. Known for signature cocktails and their unique Bistro Menu. 4 Cheese Macaroni + Cheese, Gnocchi Bolognese, Chicken + Rice Meatballs, Shrimp Lo Mein and Roasted NY Strip are just some of the items on their Bistro menu that caught our eye.
From Sushi Starters to Specialty + Classic Rolls to their Asian Inspired Tuna Burger! This is the place that will become a quick favorite!
Lola 41 is open for Lunch + Dinner + Cocktails. Reservations are accepted.
Modern chic meets casual comfort in the heart of historic Nantucket. Dune features three dining rooms with a blend of sophisticated elegance and soothing comfort. An exotic quartzite bar and charming patio are a great place to relax and feel the island charm.
Dune is open for cocktails, lunch and dinner and has a great dessert menu. Their menu showcases innovative selections of the finest seasonal local produce, fish and meats from regional farms and select purveyors.
Apple Bacon + Gruyere Fritters, Roasted Red + Gold Beets with Whipped Goat Cheese Beet Vinaigrette + Pistachio Aged Balsamic. Got Your attention with that, right? What about Crispy Leg of Duck Confit. That’s just a sampling folks.
Grilled Atlantic Swordfish, Agave + Lime Glazed Pork Shoulder and Grilled Angus Sirloin Steak fries.
Dune Features an Extensive Wine List and their desserts are heaven!
A Global Cuisine wonderland with uplifting versions of flavorful international dishes from around the globe. Town Nantucket is an Asian inspired restaurant open for Lunch + Dinner Monday thru Saturday from 5:30pm. The decor inside is South East Asian, candlelit + chic. They have a wonderful lobster roll, fresh fish tacos and a hearty short rib panini for lunch.
You’ll find delicious appetizers from tacos to sushi and small plates + big delicious cocktails. Dishes are seasonally driven with stylish flair. Try the mussels in coconut broth with lemongrass and chili flakes. For an Entree try the Pan Seared Scallops, Seafood Fra-Diavolo, Pan Seared Salmon or Pan Roasted Chicken.
Brunch is also reserved and we can vouch for the great Bloody Mary’s and Lobster Eggs Benedict at the Tree Bar. Other items include Buckwheat Pancakes. Turkey + Sage Hash and a dozen other choices.
5. Pi Pizzeria
Wood Fired Thin Crust Pizza + Classic Italian Restaurant. We got your attention didn’t we? We’ve heard that Pi Pizzeria is one of the best places to go on Nantucket for pizza as well as other dishes. They make authentic wood-fired Neapolitan pizza and are open for lunch + dinner.
The bar at Pi Pizzeria is a lively place to sit and order specialty drinks + beer. They also offer a superb wine list. For Lunch or Dinner try an antipasto or hot or cold sub. You will find your favorite Italian entree’s like Meatballs + Pasta, Lasagna + Chicken Parmesan. New York Strip Steak is also offered.
6. Sea Grille
The Sea Grill is the mid island restaurant for seafood and regional cuisine in a fine dining environment. They offer an eclectic menu of inventive seafood + meat dishes. This is the place the locals like to eat at. They are open for cocktails, lunch and dinner. The Raw Bar is a favorite offering Nantucket Oysters, Little Necks, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and Seafood Towers. Have I got your attention yet?

Did We mention the Lobster Wantons with salsa? When pursing the menu head straight to the Free Form Ravioli! Lobster, Shrimp, Scallops, Ricotti, Mushrooms, Roasted Tomatoes, Garlic, Hand-Made Pasta + Crispy Kale. This alone should make you want to hop the next boat to Nantucket. And then of course there is Nantucket Bouillabaisse, Lobsters, Parmesan Crusted Swordfish. Oh, Wouldn’t you love to be sitting at a table full of friends and family with great dishes like this and a bottle of wine and or your favorite cocktails.

7. Brant Point Grill
The Brant Point Grill is the restaurant at The White Elephant. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is harbor side dinning at it’s best. This luxury resort offers the finest in amenities. A full Breakfast is served daily with your choice from fresh fruit salad to New England Lobster Eggs Benedict and everything in between. For Lunch have a hearty bowl of New England Clam Chowder Soup, Nantucket Crab Cakes, Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail, Salads, Sandwiches and entrees like Fish Tacos, Ipswich Fried Clams or their signature Mac + Cheese to name a few dishes.
